Ingredients

1 cup Curd
1/4 tsp Chana dal
1/4tsp Rice Flour
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Cumin powder
1/4 tsp Poppy Seeds or Khus-Khus
1/4 tsp Fennel seeds
1 clove Garlic
2 Green chilli
1 tbsp Grated coconut
a pinch Fenugreek seeds
1 cup Water
1 Red Chilli
a pinch Mustard seeds

    When I get bored of all curries with masalas or when I feel tired of cooking and need some relaxing moment in the kitchen this recipe comes to my mind everytime. It is such a soothing recipe which can be prepared within minutes. I like to combine this with potato fry most of the time.     Soak chana dal, rice flour, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, poppy seeds and fennel seeds in water for 10-15 minutes.

    In a blender add coconut, garlic, chilli, and soaked ingredients and blend well. Then add curd to the blender along with the ground paste and give a quick blend (or pulse) just to mix them well. Then add it to a bowl and add water to it.

    Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard, fenugreek , red chilli and curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida. once mustard sputters, set the flame to medium and then add the curd mixture in the kadai. Turn off the stove in less than a minute(Dont overheat the curd as it might get curdle up).

    Serve this pleasing curry with rice!
