Is there anyone who cant resist eating potato fries even in a strict diet? If so count me in. I love fried potatoes in any form(chips, french fries,..) since childhood. Even after reading so many articles on its nutrition facts(all said its bad) i never stopped eating and i really felt guilty about that. So i decided to try a recipe with less oil and taste better than store bought french fries. I tried it and I seriously recommend all potato lovers out there to try this recipe and share your experience in the comments section. Yeah guys! you will get a perfect crispy fries at the end and definitely thank me here!

Steps

1
Done

cut the peeled potato into wedges or strips like french fries and wash them well in cold water.

2
Done

Bring water to a boil and add a tsp of salt to it. Turn off the flame, then add potatoes and close the pan let it rest for 15 mins.(this helps to get the potatoes half cooked)

3
Done

After 15 minutes drain water and give them a quick rinse under cold water(this prevents the potatoes getting sticky) and let the water drain off completely you can spread the potatoes on a tissue paper for a while to quicken the process.

4
Done

Now add potatoes to a kadai(non-stick works well) then add oil and mix well so that oil coats on every single piece and close it with a lid. Cook them over a medium flame stirring every 2 minutes(to cook evenly and get crispy edges ).

5
Done

Once your potatoes turn golden to light brown on all sides add salt and chilli powder(you can use pepper powder instead) give a quick stir and turn off the flame. Yummy fries ready!
