1/4 kg Chicken
1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Required Salt
1/2 teaspoon Seasame Oil
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
1 Star Anise
Small Piece Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Fennal Seeds
3 Cloves
1 Small Bay leaf
4 Red Chilli
14 Small onion
1 Tomato
1 1/2 tablespoon Curry Powder
100 ml Coconut Milk
Required Water

This Chicken gravy is prepared, by using home made masala and coconut milk. The curry powder used in this recipe is made with simple ingredients; Coriander seeds, Red chilli and Cumin Seeds. This dish goes well with Idli, Dosa and Rotis.  Check out the other Chicken Gravy recipe.

Preparation Of Ingredients

1. Clean and Marinate the Chicken by adding Turmeric powder and Salt.
2. Chop the Small Onions and Tomato
3. Have the Spices,Red Chilli and Curry Leaves ready.

Heat some oil in a pan and add spices to it. While the spices start spluttering add Red chilli, Curry Leaves, Onions and saute it well until the onion cooked. Then add tomato and continue sauteing. Add the Marinated Chicken Pieces and mix it well.

After 2 minutes add water, salt and bring it to boil. Then add the Curry powder (made using just three ingredients - Coriander seeds, Red Chilli and Cumin Seeds) and mix it well. Cook in medium flame for 10 minutes.

Grind the Coconut pieces and extract Coconut milk. Then add the Coconut milk in the boiling chicken gravy and cook it for 5 more minutes in medium flame.
